Samsung Gear S3 Connection Problem with Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Solution

I had a hard time connecting my Gear S3 to my Note 5, sad to say, it took 2 days to finally configure and connect my two Samsung devices.

I sent a technical support email to Samsung and there solution is listed below:

To connect your mobile phone with the Gear device.

Please know that in order to connect the two, if the Bluetooth connection is a stable one, the devices are found for
pairing and the two are compatible, then you need to make sure that you have Samsung Gear installed on your device, from

Samsung Galaxy Apps > Search > Samsung Gear > Install.

Also, to do this, you have to be Signed In to your Samsung Account from
Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Samsung Account > Sign In.

Should you've taken all these steps and the situation persists, then please reset the Samsung Gear application from
Settings > Applications > Application manager > Samsung Gear > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Cache, Clear Data,
and follow the steps below to reset the Gear connection settings and try again, as it should fix any potential internal software issues.

1. Reset Gear
Gear [Settings] > [Gear info] > [Reset Gear]
2. Reset Bluetooth pairing
On your device, go to [Settings] > [Bluetooth], and tap the cogwheel of the device added
3. Pair Gear
On your device, go to [Settings] > [Bluetooth] > [Scan], and select the Gear you searched for.

If the devices still fail to connect, I recommend you to contact my colleagues in the technical department at as they should be able to assist you in mending any hardware issues that prevent the connection from being realized, or check if the devices are compatible.

If you encounter any other unexpected situation and have more questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and our support team will assist you with all the necessary information.

Sun Cellular Prepaid Text Unlimited 300

Been a mobile phone user ever since my college days (the year was 1999). I remember the price of prepaid loads, the cost of a single text and the cost of calls where out of this world (well for me it is still a bit expensive here in the Philippines), the number of people who has mobile phones where limited.

Fast track to today. Lots of promo for call, text, and mobile internet. Millions of subscribers. And there are three big mobile phone networks, well only two, if you consider Sun Cellular as part of Smart, but still a different company as of now.

Sun Cellular introduce the Sun Text Unlimited 300 last June 2012. I know this is an old promo of Sun but only few subscribers are using this promo.

The Sun Text Unlimited comes with

  • 30 days of unlimited Sun texts,
  • 500 texts to other networks, and
  • 5 hours of Sun, Smart and Talk ‘N Text calls.
    • 3 hours of Sun calls plus 2 more hours of calls to Sun, Smart or Talk N’ Text.
Best value for Php 300.00 peso a month.

What is best with Sun, if you reload before the expiry day of your load. All of this features will be carry over always when you load on time or before the expiry date.

I use this prepaid promo to call and text my contacts in Sun, Smart, and Talk 'N Text.

Postpaid or Prepaid?

The number one question with all the mobile users in the Philippines is are you going to get a Postpaid line or a Prepaid number?

Here are some pros and cons of each:
Postpaid line Pros:
1. You will not worried about loading or to check your load balance.
2. Can call or text anyone without limit.
3. Additional freebies or add on features.
4. Get new mobile phone for retention programs.
5. New plans to fit your lifestyle.

Postpaid line Cons:
1. Monthly bill.
2. Overspending on your plan.
3. Lock to the same network for two years (not all plans nowadays).
4. Many add on cost on your bill.
5. Unsolicited text from the network.

Prepaid line Pros:
1. No monthly bill at all.
2. No chance of overspending.
3. Prepaid promos.
4. Lite on the budget.
5. No locking period.

Prepaid line cons:
1. Limitation in calling or text services.
2. Monitoring of your load balance.
3. No free phone.
4. Vanishing load.
5. Unsolicited text from the network.

The pros and cons of a postpaid and prepaid line is the same but the offers of Smart, Globe, and Sun for there postpaid services are now available for budget lock people.

Smart Freedom Plans is a new postpaid plan from Smart which lets you choose what services you what to avail and you can change it monthly and it has a built in spending limit of Php 600.00. You can choose from unlimited calls to the same network, 2000 text to all networks, or unlimited surfing for either 15 days to 30 days.

Sun Cellular Postpaid the leader in unlimited call and text. The company is also part of Smart now, but you can still avail of unlimited call and text to the same network.

The Credit Cards life

Most of us may have one or two Credit Cards, right?

Most people think having a credit card is a bad idea, or having one will let you over spend on things that you don't need.

This ideas are sometimes rights if you think your credit card is an extension of our monthly pay check. Here might be some ways to keep out of credit card debt.

1. Always remember, your credit card has a limit, which is what is left on your monthly pay check. Don't go out and spend because it's pay day or sale. You must save for yourself and family, pay your regular bills, and last the needs of your family.

2. Buy only what you really need. Never buy what is "IN" or "NEW", that is a common attitude of most people, buying stuff that their peers have.

3. If you really need to buy, make sure by the due date of your credit card you have a ability to payoff your card, minimal due will do but full payment is much better, Interest will keep growing if you don't pay it all off.

4. Already in credit card debt, rule one, pay as much as you can, without sacrificing our plan on savings, pay the regular bills, and the needs of your family. If you have another credit card, sometime they offer Balance Transfer, you still pay interest but in a fix term and amount for a fix period not like having to pay the minimum amount on your card always it will just add up.

5. Last, if we can do it, try not to use your credit card at all, just in case of emergency.

Hopefully this can help us in our credit card life.

How to save... some ideas

We have learn or heard from our parents, financial gurus, and other people the importance of saving up for the future, and yes it is very important, but not all of us can do the 10% to 20% saving tips that is recommended due to different financial obligation each one of us have.

So how do we save? Well the first thing you do is to set a exact amount to save, let say Php 1,000.00 per pay check or even smaller depending on what you thing you can save. Lets go with the amount above, so every time you received your pay check, you automatically transfer the Php 1,000.00 to another savings account of yours our keep it were it will be save. If you will save it on another account make sure to keep the ATM and not to bring it when you go on "gimiks" or trips, remember this is your savings not money you can used for spending when you wish.

By the end of the month you will now have Php 2,000.00 savings, not a bad place to start right, when we multiply this by 12 months by the year end you will have a savings of Php 24,000.00 for the year. It is not the usual 10% to 20% of your salary but you have started to save.

Php 20.00, may of us think about twenty peso as an amount which can buy a little, true in most cases. But if you can save Php 20.00 a day for the whole year you can have Php 7,200.00 worth of savings. (Php 20.00 x 30 days = Php 600.00 x 12 months = Php 7,200.00). You can have your child do this to teach them on how to save.
